Seven Years

Seven Years is an 6 x 8" original oil painting of a white lily and bud set against a cool, minimalist blue background — with a piece of broken mirror behind the bloom casting fragmented reflections that blur the line between what's real and what's reflected. The composition is deliberately spare and meditative, and the challenge of painting it was part of the point: distinguishing the actual flower from its mirror image, petal by petal.
